IMPORTANCE OF TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TRAINING (TVET)<\/strong><\/p>\n

JOHN BOSCO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (JOBITECH) OBOSI-ONITSHA<\/strong><\/p>\n

APRIL 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

The L-JSO held a TVET Conference with the theme: “Embracing TVET as a Career Choice towards Employment Opportunity in Nigeria!” The Conference exposed the young people to the significance of TVET as a sure path towards Employment in Nigeria. This is following the need that Industries has identified for skilled technicians that will fill their workforce.<\/p>\n

The Chaplain Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Nweke SDB gave the welcome speech on behalf of the Rector of the community, in his speech, he encouraged the students to prioritize their educational activities above all else because their future aspirations depend on that foundation.<\/p>\n

The Dean of Studies \u2013 Mr. Egbuta Amarachi gave the opening remark on behalf of the Institute Director thereby officially declaring the conference open.<\/p>\n

The keynote address was delivered by Mrs. Nancy Ekong, the Anambra State Coordinator of the Industrial Training Fund, focusing on the theme “Embracing TVET as a Career Choice for Employment Opportunities in Nigeria.”<\/p>\n

The program preferred career guidance sessions, lectures, dynamic panel sessions, and tours around the JOBITECH TVET Centre of Excellence. It was an enriching event and an eye-opener for most students who participated, and it showed that being in the TVET is indeed the right path.<\/p>\n
