. JohnMary, and Fr. Julius \u2014 met today with Bishop Ignatius of Maradi Diocese to discuss the priorities and pastoral direction of their mission. The meeting, which also included the Diocesan Economer, the outgoing Parish Priest Fr. Narcisse Ayeda, and his Vicar Fr. Policap Jagaba, provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue on strengthening the Salesian presence within the diocese.<\/p>\n
Discussions focused on clarifying responsibilities, identifying pastoral needs, and aligning missionary efforts with the local Church’s vision. The encounter was described as both \u201cinsightful and encouraging,\u201d setting a strong foundation for continued collaboration between the Salesians and the Diocese of Maradi.<\/p>\n
The missionaries are scheduled to depart for Arlit on Thursday, October 23, 2025, immediately following the conclusion of the Diocesan Assembly. They expressed gratitude for the bishop\u2019s support.
