On Saturday, 18 April, the Salesians of Don Bosco ANN Province inaugurated the Salesian Mission Procure Office in Abuja, Nigeria, a step to strengthen the sustainability and impact of the Salesian mission.

The establishment of this office represents a renewed commitment to serving young people more effectively, especially those facing the harsh realities of poverty, unemployment, and life on the streets. It reflects a bold vision to reach further, respond faster, and serve better, ensuring that more young people have access to education, skills development, and opportunities for a dignified future.

             ""

This ceremony brought together distinguished stakeholders from the Church, academia, and wider society, highlighting a shared commitment to holistic development and faith-driven service.

Hosted within the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, the event featured moments of prayer, keynote reflections, and meaningful conversations centred on the future of youth development in Nigeria.

The Salesian Mission Procure Office is envisioned as a vital hub for:

Resource mobilisation

Partnership development

Project coordination and support

Expansion of outreach initiatives

By strengthening local fundraising and building strategic partnerships, the office will enhance the Province’s capacity to respond to emerging needs and scale its interventions across communities.

This aligns closely with the broader mission of the Salesians to accompany young people, especially the most vulnerable, and provide them with the tools they need to build meaningful and productive lives.

The inauguration marks the beginning of a new chapter in the ANN Province’s journey towards sustainability and deeper impact.

Through this initiative, the Province is better positioned to bridge funding gaps, improve coordination across projects, and ensure that interventions are both timely and effective.

It also reinforces the Salesian commitment to innovation, collaboration, and service, values that remain central to Don Bosco’s legacy.

As the Salesian Mission Procure Office begins its work, it stands as both a symbol of hope and a call to action.

Partners, collaborators, and well-wishers are invited to join this mission to build pathways for young people, restore dignity, and create opportunities where they are needed most.

Together, we can continue to transform lives and communities, ensuring that no young person is left without a chance at a better future.
