Field Report: Visit To Jobitech Abuja

The impact of skills development is best seen in the lives it transforms, as was evident during a recent visit to JOBITECH Abuja.

On April 29th, Mr Dominic, a representative from Bengo, the consulting firm for BMZ Germany, visited the institution to assess its progress, with particular attention to its sustainability initiatives and tracer study. The visit provided an opportunity for a comprehensive review of the school’s operations and its growing impact on young people.

During his time at JOBITECH, Mr Dominic toured the facilities, engaged with heads of departments, interacted with students and alumni, and held discussions with members of the management team. These interactions offered valuable insight into both the structure of the training programmes and the outcomes they are producing.

The feedback from the visit was overwhelmingly positive. The quality of the training programmes, the standard of the institution, and the number of young people being reached all stood out as strong indicators of progress. Particularly noteworthy were the testimonies shared by students and alumni, reflecting real stories of growth, transformation, and opportunity.

A key highlight of the visit was the visible impact of the school on employability and self-reliance. Students are not only acquiring technical skills but are also being equipped with the confidence and mindset needed to build independent and sustainable futures.

Mr Dominic commended the leadership of Fr Mark, Director of JOBITECH Abuja, for his commitment to raising the standard of the institution and ensuring the delivery of quality training.

The visit concluded on a note of appreciation, recognising the continued efforts of the Salesians to create meaningful impact through education and skills development. As JOBITECH continues to grow, it stands as a strong example of how structured training and intentional investment in young people can lead to lasting transformation.
