Growth takes time. Through hard work, consistency, and patience, participants in Don Bosco Stitches’ Cohort 11 proudly showcased their sewing creations at a Fashion Exhibition held at the Bosco House, Iju, Lagos State.
Bosco Stitches, the fashion design institute of the Don Bosco Development Initiative, has been empowering women from diverse backgrounds since its launch in November 2020. In this cohort, 11 participants completed the final stage of the three-month intensive training programme, earning the opportunity to present their collections at the exhibition.
The runway exhibition forms an integral part of the curriculum, serving as both an evaluation platform and a confidence-building experience. It allows trainees to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, and readiness to build sustainable fashion brands.
The collections on display reflected strong foundations in design, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship. Working primarily with vibrant African prints, the participants expressed pride and fulfilment in their ability to transform ideas into well-finished pieces within a short training period.

The exhibition was covered by Art43Media, the media studio of the Don Bosco House in Iju, under the direction of the fashion trainers, capturing the creativity and progress of the emerging designers.
The event concluded on a high note, with participants stepping confidently into the next phase of their journey — equipped not only with skills, but with the belief that they can build thriving fashion enterprises of their own.
