The Salesians of Don Bosco in the ANN Province have officially commenced the consultation process to appoint a new Provincial. This follows the election of the former Provincial, Rev. Fr. Jorge Mario Crisafulli, as General Councillor for Missions in Rome.
Rev. Fr. Gianni Rolandi is overseeing the consultation process across the Province.
The first session was on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Don Bosco Provincial House in Iju, gathering Salesian confreres from Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, and the diaspora.
The process began with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, led by Fr. Rolandi. Afterwards, in the conference hall, he outlined the consultation procedure.
Participants then broke into smaller groups to reflect on the current state of the Province, identify pressing challenges, and discuss the desired profile of the next Provincial.
The outcomes of these discussions will be synthesised and shared in a general assembly.
The consultation will continue in other key Salesian communities, including Ibadan, Onitsha, and Abuja.
This process marks a significant period of reflection and prayer, as the Salesian family seeks divine guidance in selecting a leader who will guide the ANN Province with wisdom, vision, and purpose.
