Institutions

For more than a century we have been providing education, shelter and emotional support for at-risk young people – a mission that begun in the 19th century by our founder, who made it his life’s work to support children in need.

It’s a mission we are living today, adapted to the unique needs of Nigeria’s 21st century young people. Over 17,000 Salesians Fathers and Brothers are working in more than 132 countries of the world for the education, development and empowerment of the youth.

In Africa alone more than 1200 Salesians are working in about 46 countries. In Nigeria, we are presently in 8 cities spread across the geopolitical zones of the country (Ondo Town and Akure 1982, Onitsha 1988, Ibadan 2002, Lagos 2011, Abuja 2013, Ijebu Ode and Koko-Kebbi 2014) and intending in the very near future to open centres in Benue, Edo and Rivers States.

Our Institutes provide two-year post-secondary for all the courses and also run short term/professional and skill acquisition training in all the departments for 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. Certification ranges from Trade Test, and National Technical Certificate (NTC), National Business certificate (NBC), Vocational Certificate (VC), Professional Certificates and National Diploma (once approved).
