INTERNSHIP ORIENTATION
JOHN BOSCO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (JOBITECH), IBOLO-OBOSI ONITSHA
AUGUST 2024
The JOBITECH Management through the office of the Local Job Service Officer (JSO), organized its annual internship orientation program for the final year students to give them a soft landing and easy insertion as they move into the labor market.
It was interesting and remarkable, as resource persons were drawn from the industrial sectors. Our key industrial players were duly represented to give their input and feedback. Those in attendance were HRs from International Breweries, Cutix Cable Plc, Kates Associates, Krisoral Group of companies, and Bar. Osita Paul Esq., Facilitator from Onitsha Business School, an alumnus of Jobitech Mr Raymond Ndibe – software engineer at Wikimedia Foundation, the Institute Director, and the L-JSO; this robust team gave the students insightful inputs and enriching shared experiences.
The orientation ended in a laudable way with an exam interview conducted by Grand Cereal Ltd, who were already on the ground recruiting students to join their workforce. It was indeed a fruitful orientation program.
The students presented the institute with an electronic projector screen to express their gratitude for the years of love and hard work instilled in them. They also promised to keep the spirit alive and make JOBITECH proud at their respective places of internship. The orientation was held from August 6th to 9th, 2024.
