This initiative is part of PDO’s ongoing commitment to empower and capacitate its staff to continue to deliver more impactful results for young people and the most vulnerable in society.

Today’s training focused on Data Validation using Microsoft Excel, a very useful tool for organizing data when preparing budgets for large and competitive grant projects.

Led by Mr. Tosin, the PDO Accountant and a seasoned expert in Accounting and financial management, the session was designed to increase the staff’s proficiency in Excel, a critical skill for effective budget preparation, organization and execution when writing project proposals.

Participants engaged in various hands-on exercises that made the training not only informative but also interactive and enjoyable, allowing staff members to share insights, ask questions, and collaborate, fostering a rich learning environment.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Steve, the Deputy Director of PDO, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Tosin for his invaluable contribution and expertise. He encouraged all staff to embrace these training opportunities as vital for their personal and professional growth. Mr. Steve also shared his enthusiasm for the continuation of future training sessions, which will further enhance the professional capacity of the team as they work towards fulfilling the mission and vision of the Salesians of Don Bosco. He thanked staff for their great efforts and interest in writing projects, and suggested few areas for improvement.
