Training of Young Girls/Ladies, Iju, Lagos
The training project ‘’Post-COVID Relief through the Provision of Skills in Tailoring for Young Girls in Lagos and Ijebu Ode’’ initiated by the Provincial Development Organism (PDO Antenna) Nigeria commenced in November 2020 in Lagos and Ijebu Ode. The implementation of the 1st Phase (November 2020 – April 2021) trained 10 beneficiaries in Lagos and 5 beneficiaries in Ijebu Ode. The second phase had 15 beneficiaries in Lagos and ran for 3 months from (June 2021-August 2021) with one month internship.
Training in the 3rd Phase commenced in October 2021 and will end in February 2022. A graduation ceremony for the second phase was held in October after the resumption of new beneficiaries.
The goal of the skill project is to empower young girls to become self-dependent and to improve their livelihood.
At the end of each phase beneficiaries were blessed with startup items to enable them put to use the knowledge gained.
